This is your chance to join an exclusive wedding photography retreat set in the most breathtaking Alpine region of Austria.
Imagine picturesque, (hopefully!) snow-covered mountains* as the backdrop for an elopement.
We will photograph a couple getting ready, sharing a tender first-look, exchanging heartfelt vows and take stunning portraits.
This retreat is not just about expanding your portfolio, but is also meant to be an immersive experience to help your grow your
wedding photography brand and business.
When we are not outside shooting in the cold, we will gather together in our cozy chalet that will be our safe haven for warmth and conversations over a cup of hot chocolate. There is power in coming together and exchanging ideas and experiences.
That is why our discussions as a group will be just as valuable as the 1.1 mentoring sessions.
This getaway is the perfect way to end the winter before stepping into the spring and beginning the wedding season.

What's included:
- An elopement-style portfolio-building session with a model couple
- Group discussion: website & portfolio reviews
You can choose between the two options:
(1.) 1-hour 1:1 mentoring session on the topic of your choice
(with either Aida or Tim*** - in English or German)
(2.) 30-minute personal branding photo session****
(with either Aida or Tim***that you can use for your website & social media)
Accommodation for 2 nights during the retreat and main meals (we will cook together and break bread together).
You will need to organize your own transport to the accommodation - there is free parking at the bottom of the mountain. You will need to purchase a cable car ticket in-person to reach the chalet (middle station).
Bonus: A 1-hour 1:1 mentoring session via Zoom to go over and provide feedback to your edited images from the portfolio-building photo session (with either Aida or Tim***- valued at 300 Euros)
Participants: Limited to 3 - 6 attendees.
* Snow-covered mountains: we cannot guarantee snow or any weather conditions!
** Investment: the price can be reduced based on some factors.

*** Aida or Tim: this will be decided by us based on strengths/logistics.
**** Personal branding photos: you will receive 20 edited jpegs + the respective raw data for you to edit in your style. The location will be within walking distance of the location where we are staying. You will need to credit us when you post the photos.

Note: We aim to hire a couple that has a very down-to-earth and playful vibe.
Our main focus is on capturing the true connection between the couple in this beautiful setting.
The styled elopements that we organize are not about fancy dresses and over-the-top hairstyles and make-up.
Although we cannot guarantee it, we do strive to have diverse model couples because representation is important.

You want constructive feedback on your photography (e.g. editing tips).

who is it not for?
You are an absolut beginner in wedding photography.
You don’t know how to use your camera properly and need hand-holding during a photo shoot. NOTE: during the photo shoot, you need at times be quick to get the shot that you need. We will try to allocate a few minutes where each person shoots alone, but that will not be possible throughout.
You are rigid in your ways and not flexible - IMPORTANT: the weather is unpredictable, we might have to change around the timeline; it might be freezing cold etc… in life, things come up - you need to be able to open to that.

Photographer & PodcasterAida is the host of My Wedding Season - The Podcast and the creator of My Wedding Season Planner.
She is passionate about helping wedding photographers in several areas of running a wedding photography business: branding & marketing, organisation & productivity systems as well as income generating business strategies.

Photographer & Certified EU Drone Pilot (A2)Tim has been a wedding photographer for over a decade and is the one that build the business from the ground up.
His skills in SEO has enabled us to show up on the first page of Google with multiple websites. He also has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the technical aspects of photography.

But it is not yet set in stone.

For the normal ticket price of €849 + 19% VAT, you get your own room (first come, first served).
If you book a ticket with a friend and both of you are okay with sharing a room with one king-sized bed, you both get a 50 Euros + 19% VAT reduction on your tickets.
There is one room with two single beds to be shared. In this case, each person pays €749 + 19% VAT (first come, first served) and we might need to make changes depending if an issue arises due to male/female attendees.

The chalet is located on the outskirts of Sonderdach, a small alpine settlement in Bezau in the Bregenzerwald at an altitude of 1210 meters.
You will need to take the cable car to reach the chalet, Berghof Sonderdach .
More info about the cable car: Seilbahn BezauYou can park your car there for free.
Luggage carts are available at the cable car station. Afterwards, you take the cable car to the middle station, where you can load your luggage onto a snow tub (winter) and transport it to the lodge (walking time approx. 5 minutes).

The chalet where we will be staying is located in the mountains just above the quaint village, Bezau, which is surrounded by rolling hills and the majestic peaks of the Austrian Alps. Nestled in the heart of the enchanting Bregenzerwald, this region has a timeless charm and picturesque landscapes, offering an idyllic backdrop for our portfolio-building photo session.
